Shine Map

Homeless youth are a integral part of our community. We are demanding that homeless youth be treated with dignity and respect. The courage and authenticity of homeless youth deserve to be honored and celebrated.

On May 14 OSA launched a 2011 national homeless youth campaign: "Shine With Whatever You Got!" This map shows the individuals, groups, and organizations who are organizing events to raise awareness of homeless youth. We call our events "Shines". To Shine is to be Authentic. Youth attend Shines to celebrate authenticity without fear; they are venues for homeless youth and the larger community to speak out to one another and start a dialogue. You can organize a Shine in your town or city as well!
