Shine Manual

You can organize your own SHINE by following these steps:

  1. Build a Shine Team,
    • Hold conference calls
    • Create Mini Teams (e.g. Logistics, Outreach, Media)
  2. Scout our a venue for your Shine,
  3. Secure a venue for your Shine,
  4. Organize a free meal for participants,
  5. Organize sign making & rally gear space and march,
  6. Designate speakers for the speak out,
  7. Secure a bullhorn or sound system,
  8. Create, print, and distribute fliers for your Shine,
  9. Send out a local and/or national press release,
  10. Organize the "Day Of" details of the event,
  11. Choose "Day Of" leaders and volunteers,
  12. Send reminders out to all speakers, volunteers, and leaders,
  13. Go over any last details and fill in the gaps, and finally
  14. LET GO AND HAVE A HAPPY SHINE!
