The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska (http://www.bouska.net) and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8. Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with "NOH8" painted on one cheek in protest.

Meet in the Middle 4 Equality was born out of the desire to unite all progressive, equality-loving people in the state of California for one day to celebrate the dignity and value of every human being. Sasha Bruce House

Sasha Bruce House is a compassionate alternative to the dangers of the streets for homeless, abandoned, abused, neglected, and runaway children. DC's only short-term shelter for young people, Sasha Bruce House is open 24 hours a day, serving youth ages 11 to 17. By providing a safe place to stay and intensive counseling services, Sasha Bruce House helps most youth reunite with their families and works to return all young people to stable and safe environments. On-site services include crisis intervention; individual, group, and family counseling; case management, support for shelter graduates, and temporary respite care.

p:ear builds positive relationships with homeless and transitional youth, ages 15 to 24, through education, art and recreation to affirm personal worth and create more meaningful and healthier lives. Each year our programs serve more than 550 homeless and transitional young people.

To truly exit homelessness, kids must develop the internal strength, skills and foresight to make healthy choices. p:ear provides a safe, non-judgmental environment in which youth are trusted to outgrow unproductive and harmful behaviors. We offer individualized mentoring and education programs in a safe, reliable setting designed to foster trust, build self-esteem and to teach homeless and transitional kids – who all too often are regarded by society as disposable, "hopeless cases" – that they are valuable individuals with a future who have something vital to contribute to this community.
